bit of a dangerous attitude to have
why? if you enjoy doing it i dont see why you shouldnt feel that way about it, perhaps fame can get to your head but hopefully breakage wont stop making good songs and becoming a superstar who doesnt give a shit anymore
i actually don't care about all this but:
A: he is starting to go "on the wrong path"
B: if you look at history
now do A + B = likely to be F

yeah, take a look at history and you will see that a man making a track for peoples enjoyment in a club is a fucking failure.
this is the guy who made Hard, ALLOW THE HATE!
dont get me wrong, it aint a patch on anything off this too shall pass, for vibes and atmosphere.
but when this goes off in a club, i will be jumping like a loon along with everyone else.

exactly
i'm just glad his dubstep to this point is as quality as his dnb as his name has been synonymous with quality beats
hell his bassbin/reinforced catalog was gold long before he had a name in dubstep
one semi dance oriented tune and people are up in arms
it's why chatting music on this board (well not as bad as the main board) is a joke half the time
Coincidentally came across this thread listening to Staggered Dub which is a massive track. Like I can understand people not liking the more commercial elements of people's music but it seems the simple answer is to not buy it / listen to it rather than try and force some comparison that's not relevant.
It's not even a new discussion it's being going on forever it happened when Hendrix changed direction between the Experience to the Band of Gypsies, it happened when U2 recorded Rattle and Hum, it seems to me that a producer / artist is entitled to make whatever music they want, liking and buying something they did doesn't entitle you to tell them what to make in the future, you are of course entitled to express an opinion but the faux horror expressed in this thread and others seems a little childish to be honest.
