This exact question last week. No real resolution though. I think it's just essentially a ring modulator.

It does frequency shifting too apparently. I use the meldaproductions MFreqShifter and ring modulator, both free and come with a bunch of excellent other plugins, google to download the pack as im too lazy to find it atm sry

I didnt use the -S much when i was running the demo and havent used the logic one either so im not a reliable sorce for the answer here, But i thought the Uhbik vst effects were of really good quality and kinda diffrent to what they were supposed to be, abit like the soundtoys stuff... which i think has a freq mod too... lets see.
....has pitch shifter and ring mod effects yep. so yea try the Soundtoys too if you can, i think theres a demo. A bit pricey but there of good quality. were you looking for a free one? as Meldaproductions was previously mentioned and all tho i didnt use the freq mod unit i did like there mastering ones ive tried.
