DMZ 7" are these not happening now?

Post by Whistla » Fri Mar 03, 2006 10:16 am

Easy
Was speaking to Skeeze and he said that he didnt think that DMZ were gonna be doing the whole 7" thing now as the cutting house couldn't give enuff definition to the bass when cutting down to 7"
Anyone know anything more?

if they work out the same plan with a 10" series everyone's a winner.
cool format, good sound quality, more tunes.

Thats a shame :(
I do know what they mean tho, Ive got a load of dub tunes on 7" that need the bass boosted big time to get the real effect
Yeah 10" is a good compromise
Most UK dub artists use the 10" format for there pressings and they are good quality in the bass department

So come on DMZ whens the first one gonna get released? and whats it gonna be??????

heavy weight press! standard!

10's would be ok.. but a real weighty 12" that would just kill it!

bass frequencies take up alot more space on the record

hopefully soul jazz don't get janky on the whole idea, i have heard some wrong stories about how they do some of they bizness....

7"s look cool and everything, but they're just not good enough in the sound department for dubstep.

A 10" series though? Very nice.

i think the 10" is a daft format: they handle akwardly, they're harder to find in yo box and they're not much lighter than a 12

Who can think of an ACTUAL ADVANTAGE?
