The queue for the DMZ 5th Birthday Bash was large, we ended up queuing for like an hour.
Best be there for about half 10 as the queue goes all the way round the park.

also
I've never been to a single DMZ that has had advance tickets! so pretty doubtful.
and mass is hench and experience like no other

Cheers for the information. :Q: :h:

Probably not going to bother with the birthday this year, way too many people last year. Also someone started on me whilst I was walking up the stairs :a: This sort of thing should never happen at dmz. Basically alot of dickheads came last year and ruined it. I'l just stick to the usual bimonthly ones

hmmm...this concerns me Hibbie...why can't the dickheads leave this place alone??? IMO its the purest dubstep rave ive been to and its being ruined. what a shame.

It was still a good night but it's down to preference. I like to have a bit of space around me instead of being sandwiched together and also that incident really ruined the night for me. I'm sure that the majority had an amazing night last year but for me it was the worst dmz I've been to. Whilst Joe Nice was playing it was perfect but after that it god too busy imo.

yea gota agree, the amount of heads in there was crazy, sardines is not the 1, space is defo needed...started off the night with my back to the bassbins ended up not even bein able to get in the main room once i'd got out (i mean i could get in, but there was ppl right up to the door it was just long so i ended up stayin in the lil seatin area the rest of the night between both rooms...part from when i went to room 2 for a change of scenery)

part from that it was major, its a shame that incident happened, but after all its still a rave.

Dickheads haven't ruined this place, it's just the way it is. I think your being a bit to harsh on the atmosphere of it all, it's got to be busy it's one of the biggest night of the year.

I agree it was packed out, i didn't even get in until a few songs into DMZs set, i missed distance etc which i was gutted about because i spent it queuing. The fact of the matter is that at a normal DMZ you do just walk in and it can be pretty empty at times but the birthday is always going to be big and busy but at the same time it's busy for a reason and that reason is the artists that are playing.

Don't be a fool and miss it.

Will be large.

"It's just the way it is" No mate it seriously is not just the way it is at dmz, there should never be any bad vibes. I said it ruined the night for me not anyone else. I'm not being harsh on the atmosphere because as I said it is personnel preference that I like a bit of space and yes it was the dickheads that ruined it for me

I'm not being a fool and yes I probably will miss it

Yes it will still be large

Haha i hate it how the bass can like rattle your nose. Itches! Then when you scratch it you look like you've just sniffed something! -e-

I wouldn't be too fussed about it being packed thats what I expect at such an event but it would be nice to be able to breath. Not about not being able to get back in tho when you've gone out for like a cig or something..

So i'm guessing both rooms will be open? I've never been on a birthday.

Both rooms have been open for the last 2 birthdays. 4th birthday they just streamed across what was in the main room, 5th they had a second set of DJs.

It was horribly packed last year, and as some people have said, there were dicks that ruined the vibe for everyone. Lets hope that doesn't happen again this year. Spoilt it a bit for me last year but I'll give it another go.

Get there by 9pm if you don't want to miss the first couple sets. Getting there at 10pm will probably take over an hour to get in.

there were dicks climbing the soundsystem in november so don't hold your breath...and if anyone here that was there then, wtf was up with that 60 y/o woman screaming at the top of her lungs at random times? 1st time i went to DMZ and walked away thinking it was packed with a bunch of nutters

i will be geting there early for the bday ting tho...i don't 'do' queues

its the sickest night ive been to, solid 12-6am, lights on at 6 with a good 50 odd people still skankin away to mala shouting out for one more tune, then maccy d's meet up over the road straight after. walked straight in which was nice so wont be looking forward to a savage queue. ive been to mass for regulate (if anyone else reached that) and found while there werent any bad vibes, there were some dick heads with their shirts off moshing for a portion of the night... i think dmz would shut down before they allowed that

dont forget that on birthdays, doors open at 9pm.

so for those who want to avoid a que, id say get there before 9pm. by 10 the que will look like how it did on the video.

/

it was definately too rammed last year, needed more space to enjoy myself. i didnt experience any dickheads but i herd all about the fight in room 2 last year. it is pretty sad that some ppl ruin the vibes like that but i suppose the bigger everything has gotten over the years the more likely you are to get some idiots turning up.

i think the 3rd and 4th bdays were pretty epic all round. last year because of space and other issues it sort of didnt seem as epic, but still a good night. the music and the sets are always quality so nothing has changed there. i reckon they need a bigger venue for these bday nights but i dunno where would do it justice. plus the mass just has that nostalgic feel to it and all the little bits about that venue do add to the night as a whole
