@nnny: cheers man, liking your work, like the melody and early drum pattern and how it builds up to the faster pattern. I dont want to comment on making it louder as a) i dont know how loud a track should be and b) id much rather turn up my system to hear your track (i think thats better right?)

@nibzdub: sounding better man! only thing now is wether to lay it to bed and make a new tune or add some fx and maybe sample over it/ or you may wanna keep it minimal.

@altfire: interesting, liked the drums/percs not too keen on the main lead/mid bass bit grating on the high end freq. maybe a filter on it?

@tek selecta: cant think of anything to comment, its really good and i like. made me wanna go look on the garage dubs section :)

(Your English is fine, the idiom you want is "on the right track" for "on the good way" :5: )

Hi hat doubletime at :40 could wait until the percussion buildup that comes in before the drop, it's rather jarring as is. With the huge influx of heavy sounds at the drop, I would probably balance out the intro portion with some (quieter) one shots from those big drums. Turn the pads up too?

Basically it sounds like the contrast between the intro and the main portion is too big right now, both in terms of volume and arrangement.

I like the screechy percussion at 3:48.

So bear with it, and also forgive the long silence at the end, I exported it like a fucktard.

Cheers for feedback in advance people! :w:
Drums in intro portion could use a filter sweep/phaser/something to move them more
Drop made me jump up, success
1:18 little piano line that comes in is sweet!

@debaser1: oops sorry didnt see there was a new track there :O , kicks abit soft in the intro, pleasently surprised with the drop, got a cheecky groove to it. like the absence of heavy breaks and like the childlike toy sound (post above called it a piano)(its late i dont know what it was) , would of like to hear the piano(from the intro) making its way back in, not sure if that would clash with the other elements tho. sounds are really good.

Darj:

switchin

liking the production as a whole,
but in my personal opinion that whole filth, guitary sounding sound has been done to death abit.
but thats just my opinion.
liking the car screech sounds though!

Tripwire22:

bouyancy

loving it nice n atmospheric
cant find something to criticize about it :D

street astrologist:

sleep when youre..

loving the piano intro, the bass is phat too
try low filtering the bassline and putting that piano on top, then dropping it back in?
would make the track abit longer :)

Nnny:

horizon-1

nice n mellow, think you should throw in some beefed up snares though to vary it up abit!

nibzdub:

facesmasher

liking it alot, maybe throw in a part with a faster paced beat? liven things up abit?

@tripwire22 - This is a really lovely tune. I love the chilled vibe. I went to a Mary Anne Hobbs gig last night, sort of sounds like some of what she was playing. I really like the drums. You have a really nice clicky snare/clap sound. Your track progresses enough to keep it interesting and fresh. I can't really think of what to change about this track, sorry I can't be more helpful.

@Darj - You've got some cool ideas in here man. I think your drop somes a little unexpectedly. Some kind of build/sweep sound would probably do for the purposes of this track. I reckon there's a little too much reverb on your lead sounds. It's mostly too much pre-delay. I like that you switch up what the lead sounds do for a little bit at the second drop. I reckon a properly new section would be cool. If you drop into something completely different (but using the same lead sounds, so everything's connected) and then go back into the more familier first section. This track's got real promise man, but it has a way to go yet :)

@arisemprex - You've got some cool sounds in here, but there's a lot you can change about the track. The sound that you start your track with could definitely be a bit louder. The intro as a whole it a little boring, although I really like the percussion and how the kick goes off beat. I think the sidechain compression on the lead sound could be a little less prominent. It means that your drop doesn't have much impact because your lead sounds are quiet on beat one. I think your lead sound could be less distorted too. You can achieve equally dirty sounds without using such destructive effects. Try stuff like waveshaping and frequency splitting. I'm looking forward to this track being finished.

It's been a little while, but here's an updated version of my WIP. I've added a proper melody, some pads and a few other things. Also made some changes to the mix, but not massively.

@Cyberex - I know what you mean about reminding you of the Matrix. Me too. The drums were recorded with a single mic, so EQing the snare could be a little troublesome. What frequencies need boosting or cutting do you think? I'll see what I can do. I like what you've got so far with your track. Instrumentally and in terms of the melody the beginning sounds pretty mainstream, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I like your sounds post-drop, although the whole thing sounds really busy. Try taking out everything but the main wobbles and the drums to start with, and see what you can do with it from there. It's be great to be able to hear the lead sounds clearly, and it also makes your track a lot easier to remix. The strings at the end sound like something from Neverwinter Nights :D Looking forward to hearing this done...
