In 2010 Radio Blackout launched its Spegni la Censura, Accendi Radio Blackout (“turn off censorship, turn on Radio Blackout”) campaign in response to local authorities’ attempts to put an end to 18 years of self-financed independent broadcasting and information.
Many artists – including singers, musicians, producers and exponents from across the cultural spectrum in Torino and beyond – heeded the call and lent their support to the initiative.
The momentum inspired independent record label 4WEED Records and the Torino-based collective ROOTIKAL DUB FOUNDATION, in co-production with RADIO BLACKOUT , to create the "DUBLACKOUT" compilation.
Here are eleven electronic Dub and Dubstep titles created exclusively for this collection by recording artists and producers from all over Italy :

A world of sound, a convergence of energy, brought together to breathe life into a unique, high-quality music project. An overview of the Reggae Dub and Dubstep scene in Italy, which has always been given plenty of airtime on Radio Blackout.
