nibzdub- sounding much better man
Asterix- massive drop man nice.
p3rt2k8- couldn't get yours to play sorry
Wabble- I was really looking forward to hearing a new track after "sex" and this one does not disappoint :) Only thing imo is I feel like you need something in the back ground it sounds a little bare. Could be what you're going for though. nice man

I posted this in the Dubs section but haven't had any luck with feedback so I figured I should come back home where the brains are.
here's a little beefier mix with the original in siggy for comparison let me know what you think. Thanks dsf

@coreygoesrawr - never have i been more proud to be a packers fan, epic win for the home state :] also on your track, really really like those vocals and the drop. I cant quite figure out what is it, but something in the mix needs its volume brought back. other than that dope track

@FRasch - thanks for the feedback, that was actually one of my first patches with albino so i think my next attempt will be better. but when you say it needs more bass, do you mean i need to lift my lower frequencies or just add more variety in what im using?

@nibzdub - all around sick track really enjoyed it! maybe in the beginning try changing up your bass patch just a tiny bit and then switch between the two but its just a suggestion, not at all necessary. cant wait to see the end result

@captain planet - no feed back for you, but if that track is ever up for dl im first in line :]

@wabble - great start man, looking forward to the next bit!

heres what ive come up with the last couple days, of course feedback is greatly appreciated

@kushhmane: Liking this track mate. I think it may need some eqing work though, liked that string or whatever it was in the beginning, maybe bring that back in later on too?

@barbearik Great intro but EQ your synths a little to remove some of that muddy lower end

@MRP5 Awesome very original, but I think you could improve on the melody, make it a little bouncier if you know what I mean.

@jamiecypher Cool drop I like the pauses, but you need to beef up your sounds more.(including percussion)

And now heres my guy I;ve been working on for a couple of days.

oprs - Nice work so far, pretty different sounding track, I like the variation you've got going on. The little fade bit seems kinda rough, it drops down too quiet then gets loud too quickly. Also there are parts that seem kind of dissonant, like the bass and melody aren't forming any sort of harmony, I would maybe try some different notes on the bassline in particular and find something that fits better. Of course this may have been intentional, if so I apologise :-p

Asterix - Really well mixed, nice transitions between the the drops and buildups, and filth bass that actually works. This is probably just personal opinion but I'd like some more shuffling hats to keep things moving, and a bit of synth action around the wobbles for variety. Hope your interview went well!

NICORISONE - Some really great stuff, you know how to conjure up some atmospher. Curtain Call is my favourite, though I think the 808 should come in with the rest of the drums as it's a bit too slow for it to groove on it's own. Indecent is really good too, though I'd cut out some elements before the drop for contrast unless you're going for an even meatier drop later on.

Here's my contribution, some melodic 2-step kinda vibes for you

@lostcosmonaut That song put me in a great place man, really good vibes. Although I think your kick can stand out at times more, maybe try to eq some stuff to let it through? Other than that I really enjoyed it.

Latest WIP for FAWM. I really like the percussion and bassline...unsure about the rest at the moment. What do you guys think?

Soundcloud

@lostcosmonaut - Firstly I love your name XD On to your track. Personally the piano bit felt too jerky to me, it didn't fit in time with the rest of the tune. The bassline is really really nice, definitely feeling that, the sub and the 'wobbles' are both just right. Percussion is decent but lacking something. Maybe it''s the samples you've used, that or they haven't been EQ'd too good. Either way it's not a massive problem. Enjoyed the tune quite a bit. Would say it's breakbeat rather than 2step though, you've not really got that swing in there.

@tbunreal - pretty painful to listen to to be honest :\ the 'wobbles' sound pretty badly synthesised and mixed. Drums lack presence. No real melodic drive to the tune. Sorry man :(

@kushmane - Before that wobble came in I thought this was gonna be a real good track :\ the drop at 0:57 is better than the bit previously but still not great. I do really like the melody it plays but it's very empty and bare. The drums have no energy in them which you *really* need if all you're gonna have is a wobble playing at the same time. Synthesis is nothing special. Overall mixdown isn't great. The twinkly synth at the start is real nice sounding. I like the slightly 'off' note in the melody. Gives it a nice character. Overall it's not a bad attempt but there's a lot you need to work on. Melodies are the high point, mixdown and drum programming need serious work. Keep at it!

I'm currently on an old shitty computer without speakers, so I can't comment. Will comment you guys later.

What do you think? It's gonna be a part of an EP about satanism. Thats why I use all the samples. Theres also gonna be a second drop.

@Asterix

yo i like this alot.
id cut the intro shorter and the bridge to the next bassdrop."if that's what you call it" and make the main parts longer but switched up.
i like the next bassdrop alot.
the first vocal sample could be lower eq or w/e i dont no if its the volume, but it hits really rough.
but not the "bass" sample i like that one loud.
i dont no were your going with the outro but i could see a quite melodic type bass riff somewere on the outro? mabye after the drums are cut?
but this is all my opinion.love the two bassdrops though. def getting there.

coreygoesrawr - phenomenal sampling in the beginning; truly brilliant! however, the reese on the drop sounds a little flat and bare. the ideas, composition and execution are just money. just give me moar loud! :D:

wabble - super filthy. the drums sound flat, literally like a computer is playing it (obviously, but that not what we want.). the sample at the end of the clip is killer. add some sub bass and liven up the drums a bit and itll be great! (Not that it isnt already.)

kushhmane - lovin the filthy bass, definitely lovin the you mom sample, not feeling the drums. the beats are good but (im a drummer, this is the first thing i notice) flat and feel electronic. i want the bass/kick pound in my chest and the snare to break ribs. well im exaggerating but it definitely needs to cut through the mix better. and please, bring the intro strings back somewhere in there. perhaps at the end, like a fade out/into the strings with lots of reverb and no dry output.

i just started this yesterday/today. as it says in the description of the track its a song for my fiancee/girlfriend. i dont know what it is anymore, its all happing so fast (and as you can tell from the track) i couldnt be happier. its FAR from dubstep, which im taking a short SHORT hiatus from to work on general production techniques and shit like that.

theres a few firsts with it:
its the first tune im making for a girl, first time with side chaining sub w/the kick, pre-processed the drum samples into multi-output busses and than split freq busses than a drum bus (its wacky as shit but im happy with the quality it produces, thanks reso!).

by no means it is finished yet, i want ideas. what else should i do/add?

weight has such potential the first 2 bars of the hook are so awesome, basic but super awesome. i wanna take that loop it and change some timing add a few layers. damn i hear a mad catchy song in there.

@wabble-Your track screwed my mind sideways. Maybe a little more volume on dat derr bass? (I'm quite low end burn out though... :?)

@NICORISONE- Weight really drew me in, love the bouncing feel with bass fall in there. Maybe let the bass bounce a little through there? (I'm nothing BUT a rut so I know the whereabouts of you're coming from)

@tbunreal- Loved the beginning build, but I feel like late 30's/early 40's there's a little more of a time discrepancy than desired. Other than that, diggin' it.

Here's been my life for the past few hours...I just got and taught myself this Audacity mumbo-jumbo earlier tonight. I feel like someone is saying "Ready" in the background... Anyway, any comments or anything would be great. I have hopes for this one... :? :|
