Almost 7 years since Mr Benji B last graced the stage at The Caves, we've decided to ask him back, partly because he's just moved from Radio 1Xtra to Radio 1, but mainly because he's one of the most sublime and gifted DJs working today. A set from Benji is always a true-school "travelling withoutmoving" journey through the hottest club sonics and future soul vibrations in the world; a cosmic mixtape trip around the freshest beats, breaks and dubs, along side classic boogie, funk and jazz cuts. Pack your passport.
Since cutting his teeth as a fresh-faced producer on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide show, he has went on to host cult 1Xtra transmission Deviaton for the past 8 years, before stepping into Mary Anne Hobbs' shoes on late night Radio 1 late last year. So come one and all, with an open mind, sneakers and get ready to get down; it's gonna be a big session!

Hailing from the notorious Calder Council Estate (aka C-Block) in the Westerhails area of Edinburgh, the philosophy of Nothern Xposure is hard hitting, politically and environmentally conscious - with a strong emphasis on the pit-fall’s of crime and drugs. The crew has been running now for over a decade and has been quoted in The Skinny Newspaper as 'The major contenders to break Scottish hip-hop abroad and elsewhere in the UK'. With beats produced by names such as Mungo’s Hi-Fi and Foreign Beggars, and a unique, captivating flow, NX’s music stands alone in Scottish hip-hop for it’s sheer quality and depth, and strong rootsy undertone. During their world travels they have perfromed live in the United States with such artists as 'Naughty By Nature' and 'The Roots', in the UK and Europe with the likes of 'Estelle', 'Roll Deep', 'Wylie', 'Dizee Rascal', 'Dilated Peoples', 'MC Solaar, 'Wylie' and 'Roots Manuva'.
