[FEEDBACK] Meet Frank... (first track)

Post by b_brooks » Tue Feb 08, 2011 1:19 am

Hello everyone. I am extremely new not only to music production (with DAWs) but I'm also a bit of a neophyte to Dubstep. I have taken a real interest in the Dubstep that is Burial (which I've read many of you are familiar with). This is my first track that I've ever done and I honestly have NO IDEA what to think (other than me being a terrible mixer). So please, if it flat out sucks, tell me. I appreciate any and all comments.

This is a work in progress.

I watched Donnie Darko and decided that I really wanted to pay homage to a rather strange movie. Well...this is it. :-?

hey man not a bad track for your first one the mix seemed pretty good considering its your first...you should have seen my first haha

some of the longer parts tend to get a bit boring but not too bad though, maybe just a little change up here and there to keep people interested.

also in the "Production" forum there is a thread for works in progress if you ever feel like you want to get help with a track but its not complete hit that one up just be sure to read the rules on it (I spend most of my time there lol)

good work though keep producing.

great for a first track....it doesnt sound finished though. could make it more interesting by resampling little hits here and there and adding alot of effects ...like having a hit on a 15 or 16th bar have tons of verb but just for one hit.
