audio file only playing through left channel

ive got a bit of audio that is only playing through the left speaker channel but not the right

i use sony acid and have messed around with the panning but it doesnt do anything

any ideas or tips anyone? greatly appreciated

if youve recorded onto a channel previously used try setting up a new audio channel and moving the audio onto that.

sounds silly but i do it all the time.
