my sample is in the Left only...
hey guys im sampling a pretty neat van halen riff but on the record it is played in the left channel with some reverb/fx in the right. I would like for this to play through both L and R when it kicks in in my song so how would i go about doing this? i sure its pretty simple but its late and my brain cant figure it out.
Re: my sample is in the Left only...
Either output the channel on a mono bus or use a stereo panning tool to pan it to the center.

stupid i know.
.....how?
im using reaper btw
.....how?

Re: my sample is in the Left only...
I haven't used reaper in a while, so can you change if a bus is in stereo or mono? If you can then set the output or your stereo track to a mono bus and you will have your sound purely in mono in the center.
As I've said before I've only used reaper a while ago but does it have any stereo panning tools? I'm running logic which has a stereo panning tool inbuilt so I know nothing about 3rd party stereo panning vsts/aus.
