What makes a dubstep track "filthy" "dirty" and/or "grimy"?
What do YOU think makes a track filthy, show examples. I'm interested to see different results.

Play a tune; if you like it then it's all good regardless of pathetic genre names, if you don't like it don't listen again. Simples.
..
Getting a bit tired of all these sub genres. For the last three years I have advertised my sets as bass music, much easier as it allows me to play anything bass orientated from 120 beats to house, garage, dub, dubstep, future garage, the odd jump up tune, dnb and jungle and beyond.
Much easier to call it bass music and does away with childish names like, 'brostep' 'filth' 'wobble' or any other crap.
For an example of what I call bass music check this 20 min mix courtesy of myself:

They are all just vague descriptors used on YouTube. No real producers or serious musicians use terms like these, other than as loose adjectives.

I died inside when I went to a record store in London and asked if they had any Grime and got given a load of Caspa records
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

The best filth is the track that sounds like robots having the most hardcore, gangbang sex with a dinosaur.
