not so happy with the outcome imo..

f.ex., flux pavilion as best producer above distance, silkie, kryptic minds??
its not that i'm hating or disliking flux pavilion's music (i even like some of his tunes), but musicwise these other dj's have been making so much more better music this year.. okay its statistics and apparently nowdays more ppl like the likes of flux pavilion.. but still i think flux doesnt deserve this..

and yes maybe i'm nagging here, this is MY opinion on music.. i respect other ppl musical taste, but in the end i think ppl need to be more educated in music/dubstep, dig deeper then filthy basslines/tunes.

still i'm glad to see youngsta as best dj, he deserves this, this guy keeps getting even better lately, he's mixes keep touching me!

it is a matter of style not quality.

for example:
if we assume that 1/3 of this forum users likes "filthy" sound, 1/3 dubstep and 1/3 130bpm.
then if you nominate 1 name from ""filthy" sound, 1 name from 130bpm and 8 names from dubstep,
of course that all votes from this 1/3 of people who like "filthy" sound will go to that 1 nominated name,
and votes from those 1/3 who like dubstep will be divided between 8 names.
do the math and its clear who will win.

maybe we should have 3 different categories next year, because it is a matter of style not quality.

Happy with most of the results, I don't agree with Mary Anne Hobbs winning best radio show this year though.

hmm i must say that u have a point there .. but so that means in function of best producer that most users on 'dubstep'-forum like the 'filthy' sound more then the deeper and 130 bpm stuff? a good solution for these awards would indeed be to divide them into 3 categories and then see who are the best producers for the filthy sound, best producers for dubstep and best for the 130 bpm stuff..

but then again shouldnt awards be about quality, educate yourself, listen to all the different subgenres that dubstep embraces and then give ur vote? cause i dont think that is what most ppl are doing..

I'm extremely pleased with the results. All music taste is a matter of taste, opinion, and resonance with the person listening to it. But as far as impacts, the lists are on point.

Ramadanman is so well deserved! Massive congrats to him. Thank you DSF and Junodownload and everyone who voted. This outcomes seems like the most accurate one yet.

Big up DSF & all crew. Despite having less than 200 posts this site has had me coming back on an almost daily basis for almost 5 yrs. The best place for music on the net.

Congratulations to all of the winners and runner-ups, and thanks to everyone @ DSF for opening my eyes (and ears) to the awe inducing variety of sounds that the Dubstep genre includes. Keep up the good work everybody!

I'm actually quite pleased with the results. Most of the winners of the categories were who I was going for. ex. Deep Medi Musik- Best Label, Night Slugs - Best New Label, Best New Producer - Girl Unit etc.

Wish Katy B wasn't nominated for anything, nothing about her voice is original or worthwhile to me. Also wish GetDarker was shown a bit more love.

Think a congrats is in order for all the winners to be honest. They all obviously must be doing something right to get them this kind of recognition and support.

Kryptic Mind's remix is superb a deserved winner and Youngsta is without a doubt a well deserved winner for best DJ.

Not too sure if Flux's results reflect what those on dubstep forum feel. I remember him posting up something on his facebook to attract votes and on facebook the guy has a ridiculous following worldwide. I wonder how many people from his facebook group signed up to DSF just to vote for him and his tune?

Look at the domination in the best label category over the years, mala got the monopoly.

Also, does anyone know who the mc is at the start of Ramadaman Dj Set from Outlook?
I recognise the voice but cant put a name to it.
