ES2

Post by JulesTaylor » Sun Feb 20, 2011 4:04 am

Hey all,

I just had a quick question for the ES2 users out there. This might be on another thread, and if it is, then my bad.

I've noticed that there is no sin wave on any of the LFO's there... same goes for the EXS24. For those of you using the ES2 for wobble bass lines, are you simply resorting to the triangle wave?

I always avoid es2 lfo, it never automates well and always seems to phase to different positions in the bar... try using the Autofiler, much more control.

Come to think of it, I don't think there are any sine wave lfos in logic... shouldn't really make a difference though. If you can't find the right lfo shape, you should try using envelopes. I think the 'Dynamic' bit controls the curve of the asdr, but that's just guess. Can anyone confirm?

Sine wave:

And In each of the oscillators there is a whole list of different digi waves, including a sine wave

Using the autofilter... great idea. I didn't think of that. I'm unsure what the "dynamic" bit does... As for not having any sin waves in any of the LFO's, I guess it's just one more thing to add to the Logic 10 wishlist. Seems like a glaring omission to me... :u:

Note: There's not a damn sine wave on any LFO, period. Even on the autofilter.
