Beat me to it! I rocked the national express from Cardiff for the leeds DMZ a few months ago. Had always seen it as as much of a mecca as mass, but didnt go for years. Was totally worth it, theres just such a polar difference in attitude at events like that. Its things like hearing the first 2 bars of some new unreleased tune you were hoping to hear, and being able to tell half the audience just spotted the same thing.

Dub Police @ Fabric was full of so many idiots, I find myself standing at the back at every rave i go to lately just so I have space to move/breathe.

I wanna go to a night to listen to the music, not have to worry that someone's elbow is heading towards my face. :?

Datsiks set in Birmingham last week was at midnight, peak time for drunk people to start beef and mosh, bare fights, people getting kicked out, funny how at 3am when chasing shadows came on all the drunk people had buggered off or lost energy and the people who actually appreciate the music then had space to skank out..

people who are buzzin may throw the odd arm around but no big deal, its the people fucked on booze casuing mosh pits, they go to a night to listen to music, start fights and cnt remember shit the next day

i saw excision in nyc with my fiance a few weeks ago, never had a worse time seeing any form of dubstep.

in part, i blame the venue for allowing in underage hipster emo douche bags. kids moshing, pushing everyone just total idiocy. one kid broke out and hit my girl in the back, if it wasnt for a witness, id have been kicked out for pushing him down the stairs. and to be honest, i saw skrillex a few months ago and it was not NEARLY this bad.

Everyone goes a bit mad when their favourite tunes gets played, don't get me wrong I've brocked out in the past but some of these weapons take it too far. It's ridiculous. Tops off, BO stinking, going wild like a kid, bro-ing out, it's pathetic.

I tend to avoid these types of raves anyway.

honestly it matters what the lineup is for the event

if your going to see big name rottun label dj's in the states and canada, then expect a shit ton of moshing

if your going to see funtcase and the circus crew, expect more shit ton of moshing

but if your going to dmz, then i wouldn't expect much moshing

don't get pissed when you go to see datsik and doctor p, and the sweaty moshing bro's are out in full effect, you know what you signed up for

no, dance all you want. but, if you stand within a crowd of people at the top of the stairs and start moshing randomly and end up hitting my fiance in the back, youre going to get pushed. in his case, the direction in which i pushed him lead him swiftly down a small flight of stairs. use common sense and act right, thats all i ask.

ohhh haha that makes way more sense... i thought you had followed this guy as he went to the toilets or something ... the split second reaction push-back is understandable.

no, id never do something like that. i can be an asshole and to be completely honest, id rather make someone feel like a total piece of shit with words than resort to fighting. but thats just me. but, i wouldnt expect you to know that as we dont even know eachother so i can understand the assumption youve made previously :m:

After going to the Rinse & FWD boxing day party, I'm never going to one of those again. FWD has lost it too.

this is a HUGE problem in minneapolis.

i can't go to shows anymore because there is waaay too much aggy shit going on.

there's a few nights where shit is ok, but by and large it's over the top b.s.

see lots of FB post from people before they go to shows like, "CAN'T WAIT TO RAGE TONIGHT!!!!"

it's not surprising though, most of these kids think dubstep is the new punk rock.

i supose some of it is though; atonal screaching noise....

thank god i get to play for VonD tonight (weather permitting) fucking snow has shut down the airport! : (

Again with FWD I find it depends who's on the bill. When a big name like Skream is headlining you tend to get more idiots.. no disrespect to Skream at all but it's just the way it is.

The last FWD+Rinse I went to I didn't stay in room 1 for longer than 10 minutes, Room 2 and 3 were banging though.

Truth, This is why Rinse Vs FWD nights rule over all. If one room becomes too much, you go to the next, and it's your favourite DJ.
I don't turn on Korn to get it on, I be playin Digi Mystikz 'til the dawn
