How about, if the search turns up with no purchase results it still links you to the artists websites blogs or soundcloud???
Really great idea and can see this getting very popular very quickly.
Ash this is more of a reason to get consistent with gdtv's tracklists.
Great suggestion thanks. Linking up to SoundCloud would be very do-able... We'll add this to the list

We have something we're implementing in our site thats similar to this but doesn't point directly to stores and is part of a much wider picture.
However, what I like about this is, because it's Javascript, it doesn't 'cache' content as an output.
Would be nice to know how it works behind the scenes though and what sort of caching mixeeba perform.
While we can't give away our secrets

I can say that everything's in the cloud (Amazon's EC2) and the db is MongoDb, so it's super fast and super scalable
If you have a load of tracklists on your site we do offer partnerships allowing you to generate revenue from any sales - most stores have affiliate schemes. The return depends on the traffic your site gets and where/how the links are positioned to assist click-throughs. We'd generally create a custom api for each partner depending on your needs
