Slime travels to Spain by way of London for our next release, welcoming to the label a very promising talent by the name of Kontigo. Kontigo's sound is firmly rooted in the rave, but is perfect for those hazy twilight hours post-club where reality is a distant memory. For his debut release he brings you 'The Lost Hours' EP, a beautiful soundtrack for the soul, where the fused elements of future garage, dubstep and an incredible ear for melody combine to melt your heart and ignite dancefloors worldwide.

'Believe' rolls in on a wave of atmospheric euphoria, post-rave synths guiding you higher alongside the soulful vocal that underpins this garage anthem in the making. Glittering strings and melodies interweave with slow-motion bass pressure to create a piece of music that seems timeless, regardless of any genre or style.

'Losing You' picks up the pace with an incredible garage roller, heartwarming vocal stabs cocooned in uplifting melodies that are reminiscent of the golden days of rave music. Skittering percussion will lead you on a total trip, but when the four to the floor kicks in...well...game over!

'Here I Come' warps the template of the previous tracks, combining garage and dubstep pattern switches to devestating effect. Perfect for that strange time post-rave and pre-comedown, the melody will have you rushing all over again before the bassweight kicks this firmly back on the dancefloor.

'Stars Fall' glides in on a total dubstep flex, with beautiful keys dropping over skeletal drumwork before a wall of sub-bass roars into life and cracks your chestplate in half. Drifting melodies interlock and push this track into the stratosphere, one for the last track of the night crew.

For the final track future garage legend Submerse drops an astonishing remix of 'Stars Fall', heartbreaking atmospherics leading you in before dropping one of the most unexpected dancefloor switches you'll hear this year. When this one breaks halfway through it will blow your mind!

Juno very kindly did a little review of the EP:

http://www.junodownload.com/products/th ... 694570-02/

"Marking his debut on Slime Records, Spanish garage/dubstep producer Kontigo really throws out some soul-nourishing beats on this five-track release. For the floor, "Here I Come" won't fail to shake asses whilst also whisking your mind into a giddy, soft-synthed whirlwind, and "Losing You" is another beautiful soulful, disco-garage stomper. "Stars Fall" and "Believe" are just as luscious, with deep atmospheric textures dominating the former, and half-steppin' beats and elastic basslines the latter. L2S' Submerse brings out the beats on a superb, hyped-mix of "Stars Fall" that rounds off this mightily impressive debut. "
