It was a pleasure to meet everyone and play music for you in San Francisco. Respect to everyone for making this happen, and to the sun for shining in the park all day.kozee wrote:Awesome night! Great Vibe....Random, Juju, Junya murdered it! and U Dub def needs to come back!!!!

So- here is my report- fwiw- SamSupa started it off with a great set of eclectic dubstep and beyond.. he even dropped a public enemy song in there . that shit was dope
Then U Dub from SF's sister city in europe - Amsterdam- went on and the rumoured battle between me and U Dub did not go down. I found out he is a pretty cool guy so i gave him pass
he dropped some deep and beautiful music from the antisocial camp and beyond. thanks for blessing us selector u dub.
Cyrus played a beautiful set of deep and lovely bass heavy tunes a very good set through a few technical difficulties. All i can say is that i love this this man's music so much and i would love the opportunity to see him again.
JUJU and Djunya- man what can i say - they are the future- they played with lots of energy and they played lots of great music from the bay area and beyond. we are so lucky to have these guys here in Northern Cali.
Of course the infamous mr child kept the party hyped throughout. Your chest my brother from another mother.
thanks to miro the hero and samsupa dupa troopa once again for putting this together and making the SureFire production parties the place to be in the sfc.
Overall i had a great time and my wife loved it! thank you all so much.
one final thing- i know its a negative, but - boo to the noise complaints from the neighbors of club six which resulted in the music being played at a lower volume .

I pretty much second Mr selector's previous comments. Well said and agreed on all counts.
Didn't affect the quality of presented material though, which was all denki ace number one. Many many thanks for u dub and cyrus for bringing great sets across the pond - Come back soon!
And as always - juju, djunya and the impeccable mr child took no prisoners.
Thanks to all you guys who made it happen. The city is coming alive.
So that's what happened. I wondered what the deal was with the underemployed bins. :/boo to the noise complaints from the neighbors

Respect to everyone who supported..
Respect to everyone who supported..
Thanks to everyone who came out to support... lots of new faces and much of the family was there too (missed you Diablo). Even some friends from the dnb community who have been holding out on the sound for a while apologized and were really getting the vibe!
Cyrus, you are top shelf. Looking forward to having you out again - hopefully next time you'll get a bit more sleep! Big up to the extended SF hosts as well making sure everyone was taken care of properly. Subframe, Child, Subtek, Canadub, Heather (aka Mrs. Supa), Kozee... mad love.
I wish I had more time to chat with U Dub - Juha we wish Sonic Warfare and Amsterdam continued success and are looking forward to hearing what you have planned in the future.
And to our local crew on the wheels - big sets all and massive good times. Juju was screwfacin' the crowd like "DANCE FUCKERS OR I'LL KEEEL YOU ESSAY" and boy did they listen. Sam started proper with big dubs and a nice rolling vibe and Djunya came through as always with the breadth of sound he's known for.
Now, to Warren's very valid point (thanks for the excellent review btw) I am potentially speaking at a hearing soon regarding the city's beef with the sound issues. Local fam knows the politics of this situation and the city in general so no need to air laundry here. Know this though, this will be rectified either through our efforts to explain the value and importance of a foundation club like Six or by finding new spaces to expand into. I am very fond of this club owner and truly hope we can work things out with the city so keep your fingers crossed.
As unfortunate as it was that the weight was not as present as at prior events, my good friends kept forcing me to stop pouting and to look up in the faces of the crowd. The headz know this was not ideal and also know what we are trying to accomplish so mad respect is due. It was the newbies I was worried about ... but the worrying was unfounded. The place was packed and the new faces were grinning ear to ear. As Child said to me "I think this gave people the opportunity to both LISTEN TO and TALK ABOUT the music." I think you're right bro... things are really gelling now and I'm stoked to continue moving forward!
Love to all the steppers and to my city of San Francisco (just not to the ones who run the noise control department
)
Man, I hope that all made sense - I am a fucking zombie right now.

Thanks to miro for putting me up and your hospitality. diamond geezer. kept me busy all weekend showing me round the sites. Thanks man.
Thanks to emcee child for showing me around to the centre then to a nice little boozer.
Overall weekend was wikid..alot of drinking. out to the soldiers - miro , sam supa ( Big opening set ), emcee child and subframe . Im still recovering.
To juju and djunya was a pleasure to meet you both. Big set at the end, pure shock out bussiness . A shame you couldnt make the marathon sessions. Next time
u dub- was good to see you again. heavy set aswell. Enjoyed your selection, See you soon.
Was a wikid event, minor sound problems due to the tennants above but thats a minor, didnt let it ruin the night. Crowd was lively still. out the people that reached for the 1st time, not knowing what to expect and shocking out within 5 mins.
Out to selector dub u, was good to meet you atlast, also to evey 1 else i met. Pleasure.

Realized I had not answered you yet. Thanks for the kind words and the hospitality. SF is surely our overseas brother, and I wish you all well with pushing things forward. Had a lovely time out there.ozeb wrote: I wish I had more time to chat with U Dub - Juha we wish Sonic Warfare and Amsterdam continued success and are looking forward to hearing what you have planned in the future.
Cyrus is coming over to Rotterdam in June because of this, so thank you for that. It will be a stupid line up with Coki, Hijak, Cyrus and myself.
All the best,
U
