I just started to resample my basslines, not 100% sure if what i am doing is right. Here are the steps i go about doing it feel free to help me if anything im doing is incorrect. BTW Im using fruityloops.
1.) massive wave form to mixer 1 channel
2.) route mixer 1 channel to 2,3,4 mixer channels then route all these channels to a fifth channel.
3.) put different effects on channels 2,3,4 (bitcrushers, filters, multiband compression, vocoder)
4.) have the 5th mixer channel output onto edison on my master
5.) import the recorded bassline into fruityloops as a audio file.
Also im not sure if i should add an EQ to the final mixer channel (the fifth one where 2,3,4 are all routed into)
Not sure if I am resampling correctly.

Re: Not sure if I am resampling correctly.
resampling is just recording a sound then applying further processing to the sound. This can be simply to save on cpu so you dont have to have huge fx chains. To apply certain effects within a sampler that simply cant be done without the sound being actual audio. Also to force yourself to commit yourself to the sound as once its recorded as audio your not tweaking and changing your synth patch constantly, in theory improving your workflow.

Read all of those, watch the videos (even for the DAWs you're not using), try out the different techniques. Bounce everything you make, listen back to it, note down what you like/don't like, chop it up, reload it and do the whole thing again.
Re: Not sure if I am resampling correctly.
you could just render the wave, no need for edison and wave will appear in your playlist, if your setting are ok. On default after render you should see it in the playlist.
Do you need an eq? You are the only one who`s heard the sound you`re talking about so you`re the one closest to the answer...

I use Edison when I'm resampling, mainly as you can take copy & paste the waveform from one instance of Edison directly into another, and can resampler on the fly without the need to bounce.
