Texting rant.

Post by Jhonny2x4 » Thu Mar 03, 2011 7:56 pm

Never saw the point of it other than to send a brief message regarding something IMPORTANT when the sender or receiver cant talk at the moment.

Over the past 7-8 months I have had to force myself to text because of my girl and write stupid responses back and forth, and god forbid if I don't text a response back within the next 20 minutes i'm ignoring her. I tell her if you want to talk, call me when you can TALK, don't text me about stupid shit.

Whatever happened to the phones that were shaped like a brick, had a long battery life, and didn't have texting capabilities? I would drop money on one.

Nowadays we have mms too, this means when you're busy at work your lady can still send you pictures of her knockers

absolutely hate it as well.i feel you on this. the "20 mins i am being ignored" shit seems familiar. Let's just cut off the internet and all damn mobile phone connections and go back to the good old days of WRITING A FUCKING LETTER. i'm dead serious. too much technology, people are over-stimulated nowadays.

Just import a grip of boiler plate responses from your email, and cut and paste them into your sms.
Drop of few of those 144 character bombs on her every now and again, problem solved.

Fun fact: nothing typed by someone's thumbs has ever been important.

If I don't receive a txt that ends in a question I can reply to with one-two words, I never reply. Fuck that convo shit, I just reply 'Email Me', that way I can pretend their message got lost in spam.

Yup, got the same problem. People expect you to drop what you're doing and spend the next hour looking at a phone screen. Then get pissed off when replies are an hour apart. Never got it.

it takes 10 mins before my gf thinks i'm ignoring her and if i don't talk to her for a couple of hours she goes mental and thinks i'm balls deep in some girls chin.

Same. If i'm remotely busy and someone calls, I wont pick up. As someone once said, a phone call is the equivalent of someone walking into the room and saying "TALK TO ME NOW!".

jesus, you all need to chill out.
firstly, the "20 minutes and you're ignoring me" is a problem with your women, not texting - they need to chill out.
also, why is a short worded message something to waste so much energy over? Some things don't need the length and effort of a phone call to be discussed, sometimes you jus wanna say a little thing, or you cant talk at that moment, or whatever.
