On a side note it is really interesting if you look at the early Rottun releases and see what all the original producers are doing now.... Sully well into the garage... Myself, Molez and Noiz on the breakstep tip... Which of the other original crew are still producing and what sort of sounds are they working in?
i definitly think my rottun releases are some of the weakest on the label but they were my first signings ever so regardless ill be forever greatful to Jeff for seeing something in them back in the day.
i think ive come along way since then.lol
heres a 12 track preview of mine and tzrs album that came out in november. I am still doing dubstep and dnb both with that techy/deep/nuero vibe. i have forthcoming tunes on requiem, gamma, gradient , and shift.
Haven't really liked anything on Rottun in aaaaages but the new Antiserum EP is sick
Still, fav tunes on there -
Sook - End Of Time & The New Bleak
Stenchman - Sounds Of The Future
Excision - No Escape
Excision & Noiz - Do It Now
Excision - Pause
Tyrant - Adnauseam
Innasekt - Bug Powdah
Vista - Exit Wound
Wish there would be more concentration on that original vibe, but I guess things change whinge whinge etc etc

YES! animal is such a great tune
yup, I'll second that also, those tunes are top notch - for me, especially Nazca.
...but I didn't know ill-esha was involved with those tunes, is that true? I know they work together sometimes, but I didn't think she worked on any of the tunes from that EP.
this song is crazy, its been out for a good amount of time now, but its still my favorite song by them, best combo of good "filth" and sub bass ive heard in a while, think even a few of the anti filth people might even possibly like this
I'm pretty much a Rottun/EX7 fanboy, love everything they put out, can't say enough about how much I respect Excision.
Some of my favorites:
Liquid Stranger & Excision - Get To The Point
Excision & DatsiK - Boom (SKisM RmX)
Excision - Subsonic
Excision & Noiz - Force
Vista & Presence Known - Move The Earth
DatsiK - Retreat (Excision RmX)
Mark Instinct - Destroyed
Ajapai - Everything he's ever released on the label.
Downlink - Emergency
AntiSerum - Nazca (feat. Violetness)
Terravita - And The Beat Goes On

amen to that, i just saw him live for the first time a few weeks ago with datsik on full pk sound, ajapai completely stole the show, id honestly even rank it up there with some of excisions shows

I agree, saw him a few weeks ago myself. I left a bit early though cuz I heard like 3 Doctor P tunes and a Flux Pavilion within 10 mins.

think the original was better 2bh, more interesting beat than the standard halfstep

I agree, it was more breaks influenced. I think I've heard it called breakstep, correct me if I'm wrong.
