Brostep bears very little resemblance to dubstep, so it doesn't make much sense to use one name to refer to them both. I don't call something that is minimal techno "dubstep" just because it is edm.

OP used a word to ask a question, and everyone understood what he was asking because he used a word that further articulated his question. He didn't want to know about dubstep bass, he wanted to know about brostep bass.

Simple matter of linguistics, no moral judgment on one form of music versus another.

i know what your saying, but you still can describe the bass as just a dirty or filthy bass. fuck at least thats better than brostep. i just hate the sub genres and hating lol

do one bass with primarily only the sub, one with primarily mid and one primarily high

in other words split the frequencies low, mid, high. get that camel phat all up in your midrange and you have a bassline.

I think the argument is that "brostep" is a stupid term coined originally as a joke, quite possibly by an idiot.
And also, I completely disagree with you. Dubstep is SO ridiculously diverse and can cover a massive range of sounds. Brostep is just one guy's vision of this sound that's happened to catch on in the mainstream
