This aggravatingly young Montreal producer and DJ has been sending the electronic music press into a bit of a frenzy lately, and here's your first chance to see him in Bristol, as he finishes up his first, eagerly awaited world tour, fresh after officially remixing the new chart single by Katy B.
Snapped up quickly by the trendsetting Luckyme imprint, and soon after by Night Slugs, who really should need no introduction as one of the world's most highly acclaimed labels of the moment, the 21-year old is gathering speed as a serious creative force. His productions are a sublime and perfectly executed demonstration of the potential that lies in the particularly conspicuous current dialogue between modern dance music and distinctly retro, timeless foundations of house music. His palette of R'n'B, Garage, and Acid house is quite fashionable of late, but he carries it off with a skill and passion that raises his music far above the often-artificial results of this kind of zeitgeist-informed dabbling.
