Intrductions on an internet forum are pretty gay, but anyways....

Ive been listening to dubstep on and off since '07, but since hip-hop is my first love i never bothered checking too far into the dubstep genre bar the usuals and various compilations, but in the last year ive been listening to a lot more.

Been lurking (perving?) on here for a while but never bothered posting, most of my interent time is taken up on a hip-hop forum, but i said fuck it, live life on the edge and join. Gangsta.

Hey, My name is Teo. I've been writing electronic music for about 2 years, it was mostly crap until about 8 months ago. Then I started figuring out how to really write music. I've posted a few of my tracks in the WIP section, but I just wanted to say hello. I'm also trying to start a movement away from bro-step, or atleast taking it back and making it into something not shit.

I'm a pretty nerdy guy and I've always tried to combine interests, and I've been creating what I call "nerdstep." I guess what it actually is is dubstep with samples from nerd culture ie: video games, movies, anime, and anything else. I've seen a few other people doing something similar.

But anyway, Hi. Also, i write music/make sfx for video games for a living. Mostly for Nickolodeon web-games.

Hello all,

Been listening to dubstep for about a year and a half now, its always fallen to second behind my love of beautiful drum and bass. However ive found myself listening to more and more dubstep recently.
So i guess i joined to find some like minded people with a good tatse in music (which i think is getting harder to find as time progresses) to share and discuss tunes.
I think im definitly into a more chilled out vibe when dubstep is concerned, i do like the more "jump up" stuff, i think i just gets a bit mundane after about an hour or so of listening.

I consider my self as a newcomer to Dubstep. I live in Finland and study in polytechnics. Originally Wikipedia brought me from Skream to all those fantastic artists involved in Dubstep, then i found myself writing some. I guess I'm getting better all the time, my current area that I dig, is ethnic way of approaching Dubstep. Cheers!
