yeah, i always really enjoy listening back to my mixes, really helps me improve

thing is though i have a CD recorder and setting it up/clearing old data/finalising each time is LONGGGGG
sometimes i just wanna jump on and mix whatever. sometimes even get up in the middle of the night if i cant sleep and just do a mix through the headphones.

what do you record onto?

I just use a line up in cable straight from mixer into PC and use Audacity.

all the negativity everywhere this month. its horrible.
the whole thing in Japan is getting me down too, things happening across the other side of the world never normally bother me however insensitive that sounds. the whole situation is bad enough in itself but the situation at the nuclear plant is just a kick in the dick. everytime i read about it its getting worse. enough people are saying the plant is already at meltdown stage and the government isnt fully addressing the situation and theyre also handing out iodine tablets to citizens and its just getting worse by the hour by the sounds of it. i dont know why but i cant stop checking up on it.

im skint, went to a shit house party last night that was just a waste of beer
Valve soundsystem is on tonight in sheffield, all my mates are going and im skint

and the fact that i come on here just to pass the time and try and sink into the world of music to cheer me up, all i see is hate threads on brostep. the word itself (and the music) is annoying enough but the fact that people cant just let it go is fucking annoying.
seems like people are more interested in music they hate rather than music they like.
sick of it

dont let it get you down, some people spend more time angry at shit music than enjoying the good stuff :cornlol: twats
but if you cant let go of your dislike of their attitudes, thats just as bad. take a step back, view the situation from a wider, more objective angle, and laugh at it. then listen to some gooood shit.

Everyone's talking about Japan but Thousands of children die of hunger every day in Africa. Surely Africa doesn't have HD video cameras ? Or maybe it would make less audience on the evening news ? I don't understand why, when a japanese man loses his house everyone is upset and when a kid in Somalia never had one nobody gives a flying fuck. Don't get me wrong my thoughts go to japanese people that lost their lives or their friends, but for the past five years they've gone to the starving african children too. That doesn't seem to be the case for the media world.

when you said "a japanese man loses his house" i dont think you quite understand the damage that has been caused and is still happening with potential to affect other parts of the world if the worst case scenario happens with the nuclear facility.

i understand what you're saying about africas starving and respect that, but millions of people donate to africa and theres thousands of voluntary workers over there too trying the hardest. do you expect the media to cover every single death?
people are well aware of how things are in africa and countless people are trying there best to help them out of the goodness of their hearts. just because the media doesnt cover it doesnt mean its not happening

My house was burnt to the ground when I was 6. And I also understand that people are helping out Africa, whenever I manage to spare some money I donate it but let's be fair most people don't give a shit, as most people will probably cry their eyes out for Japan but when it's time to get out the wallets they won't give a shit either.. But that's not what I was moaning about. I still genuinely think that the poor media coverage in Africa is due to the lack of show it gives. A road cut in two is far more impressive than a black kid who is just skin and bones, and they are exploiting that (I think)

I hate that argument, it's a bit like this:

"Damn! I missed the garage, I'll have to fill the car up in the morning."
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD! THINK OF THE DEAD CHILDREN IN IRAQ THAT HAD TO DIE SO YOU COULD DRIVE. ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS THE GARAGE BEING OPEN? YOU HEARTLESS BASTARD"

It's a lazy mode of argument and belittles both view points. It is counter-productive and you only look like a tit.

Yep Firky.
Nobodys denying that people are dying every day in africa but there's a difference between a country not being able to sustain itself and natural disaster of such an enormous scale

Stopping at my folks' and their ISP has blocked DSF for malware. (Wonder how long before the major ISPs block the site?)

So I have to login to my PC and use it as a proxy just to post this. Fecking annoying.

Plus my old man won't go to bed and am gagging for a spliff and to watch Boardwalk Empire
