Grimey Star Trek Rave Stepper Smashup. Huge bass

I'm expecting some mixed opinions on this one. I started it 3-4 years ago and just revived it a couple of weeks back.

I like it. B-line and break sound solid. It reminds me of my beloved bass music tracks, with a constant B-line, and just spacey samples coming in and out. Big ups.

^^ Thanks. I think it needs something else though. Maybe a different bline or a more minimal leadup to the main one. Ideas appreciated!

fat sound. nice - i think maybe you are thinking when the bline gets heavier and the samples have left, you need something additional and I think you are right. some sounds building up - its a little too quiet.

it sounds like it wants to be a harder song - the song is calm but the sounds are nice and aggressive. maybe you need a lead.

i really like the sound you've created, the production is solid.

^ True. Some iknd of melodic lead maybe? I wish I could do melody. Since I started that track over 3 yaers ago my production skills have improved big time but my composition and arrangement skills needs haeps of work.

The whole thing's done in fruity loops. Think I might render out the channels and rearraneg it in cubase. FL is just about sounding good enough though. Either there was a big jump in sound quality after version 6 or it's just my production that's improved.I dunno, that fruity thin sound seems to be fattening up.
