Hotflush homie Nihal Ramchandani is, of all the up-and-comers in the NYC DJ scene, one of the upping and comingest. The kid gets nice with 2 decks and an A&H mixer on this one, creating a blunted, masterful long-form DJ set that puts you wack ADHDDJs to bed. The narrative arc on this mix is a thing of beauty–starts off slow and low, tracks melt together like when you stare at paintings at The Met on shrooms. Then shit sets off 20 or so minutes in, and things get poppin…electro, acidic, robotic, jukin’, ghetto…everything. Bottom line: its a bass-laced DJ mix, and a damn good one.
