[FEEDBACK] Akira (filthy dubstep, touch of chill)

Post by Teo » Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:08 pm

Soundcloud

This is a track i just "finished" in the sense, i posted it looking for feedback about mixing and anything else anyone has a suggestion for. Im pretty happy with how it sounds, but there is always room for improvement.

Thanks!

Drums are completely drowned out by the synths. Get those on a separate mixer board and get some compression going on. Panning drums a little to one side of the mix really helps create some space. Throw some stereo imaging on the pads and widen them up. Fast attack compression on the wub maybe with an auto release, start at 3:1 ratio and -20db threshold. Play with it.
