Thanks for the advice, I realize what you mean man. Same thing with too much bitcrushers on the basses and whatnot. I guess that effects that are added should be added in small amounts. Is this multiband delay much different from regular delay? I already have a delay on the bass (set to 10ms so that it sounds robotic)Ldizzy wrote:be careful with that tho...youthful_implants wrote:some of this doesn't hurt.
change the phase on your bassline, rotate it 90 degrees, have different widths for different sections. sounds RAD.
i know some datsik track that just fall apart in a club because of that...
Datsik Bass? No Problem!

Meh, I think Skrillex is pretty good, I like his sound, then again, I'm extremely open minded to music (Except for country music, goddamn that shit sucks), and I can like anything.
That base on Scatta is....fucking sexy. No other way to describe it. Wish I could pull that off.

its a multi-band stereo widening tool with a delay on each band. it means you can change the stereo width of each band so that the top end is wide (if you want) and the bottom end is mono. in effect spreading the sound across the stereo field. If you use it with the harmonic exciter and the multiband dynamic processing in Ozone you can phatten your bass up a lot and get some really rich tones out of it.jrisreal wrote:Thanks for the advice, I realize what you mean man. There are also tools where you can invert and rotate the phase on the sound which is great for making your synth come to life. Probably not that handy on anything hitting below 250hz tbh unless you're summing to mono.
To be used in addition to your synth, not instead of.
