wasn't overly keen on the dizzee article, kind of annoying. just stank of the standard observer attitude to me.
and i hated the writer's little slights at wiley, both chiefy and utterly blinkered - "flaky", "self-contradictorily titled", "bizarre hotchpotch of hurt feelings and blustering self-justification" - what a fucking prick
rate dizzee though, he comes off as a very positive, intelligent guy

The key quote for me tho, esp when talking to Observer readers...
"Finally, a word of warning: it's almost not worth listening unless you're prepared to turn it up loud - part of the appeal is in the almost physical impact of the music and played on your kitchen CD player N-Type's ravey take on dubstep will just sound like a racket. But loud, it sounds like dubstep's recent inroads into popular culture are just the beginning."
I love the fact that dubstep comes with a disclaimer.

Who the fuck is some Observer journo to comment on Dizzee's relationship with Wiley.
nah it didn't that was 'System' by Loefah from when Loefah played.. 50,000 Watts bust the system after 'System' initally wrecked it.metalboxproducts wrote:No.Hungry_Man wrote:can anyone elaborate?50,000 Watts Is such a massive record that it literally blew the electrics at London's key dubstep weekly, Fwd>>.

"The first time I met this softly spoken east Londoner (real name Dylan Mills) was in the summer of 2003. Aged 18, and just back from his first trip to LA, he was sporting eye-catchingly mismatched trainers - one black, one white (a trend which has mysteriously refused to catch on) - and joking that the imminent release of his debut album left him with 'nothing much left to say'."
