how do you guys go about sampling?

I usually use format factory to convert movies to wavs then cut specific parts using audacity then use recycle to tweak the sample then load it into the nn19

what about you?

from other tracks, I drag the file into virtua DJ to detect tempo, then I drag the file into FL and make cuts.
Other than that, just finding stuff here and there and whacking it into the playlist
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?

One thing I did is run my entire music collection through mixed in key and then can just select tracks that are in the same key as a starting point.

For videos I have my mac setup so that the main audio from the net goes into logic, that way I can just go through random youtube vids and record anything I want.

Other than that just the usual distortion and reverb :)
