Watched The Beach last night for the first time.

Meh.

Currently trying to find a copy of the book to borrow off someone as been told it's much better.

absolutely fantastic

you're given action, villains, heroes, fully fleshed out characters with genuine and believable motivation, a forceful and admirable attempt at not only sketching out, but painting a vivid and tangible picture of the many levels of politics, crime and corruption in one of the most dynamic environments in the world

comparable to The Wire, didnt expect it to be that good at all.

Last night watched Romeo Must Die (still always good for a laugh) and the new version of Death Race (shit).

Just because you are a character, does not mean you have character.

Glad I'm not the only one, it basically fucks up the first movie in the process, plus a lot of shit just doesn't add up. I have no idea how they will pull off a third.

Just got from seeing battle: los Angleas. Pure American military propaganda type stuff but really well shot and did exactly what I expected without the usual bullshit love story crap. Thoroughly enjoyable.

yeh quite enjoyed this aswell.. would of thought it would've got a bit more recognition due to Norton being in it. The whole acting two parts in one movie is pretty interesting and he definitely nailed it. still think sam rockwell in 'moon' is top dog though

Enter the Void.

Very atmospheric and uncomfortable viewing. I connected with the main character (more so than I have with any film I can remember) so the raid in the toilet scene really got me :o
I was fully :o for the rest of the film and a good little while after, I must say!
