lol my favorite saying.
I (jokingly) said that to someone at a party in the US once and they responded "Oh my god, so do I." :D

Sadly, hearing that phrase wasn't that uncommon back when I was in high school. It also excludes electronic music, because as we all know, its not music if its made by computers.

Ok so first you talk about people thinking not calling you some fa g ot and went to the trouble of typing it in a manner to get passed the profanity filter then used another expression to make the same point, which is a reflection on you not these anonymous haters of dubstep.

So while I'm fairly happy with my ability to read you should be less so in your ability to construct an opening post without twice referring to sexual orientation.

Embarassed about dubstep?
What sort of whimp are yu?
No way.
I say I love dubstep
then I attempt to educate 'em,
telling 'em they're ignorant if necessary.
I don't give a shit about what the kiddies think,
because I know what proppa ds is.
But it's an underground thing
so it doesn't really matter if I fail.
Matter of fact, it's important that I fail
cos then we are a priviledged elite....like, say, secret ninjas.

I use the 'I'm into Dubstep' line, when I want to shake off newly met socialites & cling-ons or like arseholes at a new job, who start a convo with "Awright mate, what team do you support?", I reply "I'm into Dubstep" then watch them avoid me like a leper.

I don't get people who genuinely you're supposed to follow a football team. Surely the logical thing to do would be to support whatever team was most likely to win at that particular time. Football fans are always pissing their pants about "their" teams loosing, why bother investing time in it if it just frustrates you.

well me and whoever thought it appropriate to add it to the profanity filter

I'm not on your nuts but if you are really give a fuck about what people think of your taste in music I thought you may similarly give a fuck about people thinking you post like a dickhead

because you support whoever you have an emotional investment in not cherry picking who's successful. That said any football fan who understands this is going to understand that not supporting a football team is perfectly reasonable

I just say "all sorts" when people ask me what I like. My tastes are far too developed and down the line for someone who isn't into the same sort of stuff as me to really "get" what it is I would like about said genre/subgenre etc.
I find there's a massive difference between people like myself, who actively seek out new stuff almost daily in an almost obsessive way, to people who just "like" stuff. Then the chasm is even greater between these people and those people who generally don't really have any taste in music and will just listen to whatever is playing on the radio. I also find these same people who are at the other end of the spectrum generally follow trends a lot more and are quick to form an opinion based on others, rather than formulate their own. Music is just one of those things where it has this annoyingly close tie to fashion and trendiness. Fuck all that shit and try and find yourself in the music rather than letting people tell you what to like.

saying you like or dislike a certain genre is pretty stupid imo. if I'm ever asked I generally say I like good music and dislike bad music.
i am a big fan of homophobia however :6:
