Sup Fo-Rum.
I know that we all have our preferences and peeves when it comes to producing, and i also know that peoplehave different tendencies when they are gettin to work. I was just wondering what your guys' IDEAL conditions would be for when your producing. I personally need a can of Rockstar beside me, no one else in the house, and food

yet another pointless post brought to you by Lectric

a small room just big enough to fit my equipment. Preferably no windows with a view or I'll be distracted for hours, a bottle of water, and my bulldog snoring on the couch.

Curtains closed, monitors on, and a good night's sleep the day before.
2 keyboards 1 computer

As long as there's no one around (usually when my girlfriend's upstairs I'm good to go) I generally can get cerial about producing. Cigarettes are nice. My fridge is close enough that it's not a bother to grab shit, and actually usually nice to step away from the computer when need be. Lights off, blinds closed, and in the zone

Silence (except for the music I'm working on) is usually all I need. When I get into the zone there's really nothing to distract. I live in a tiny one room apartment so it's not much of a deal if I have to get up to grab a snack or something.

Good night of sleep the night before. After a work out. Wearing a velor track suit. All neighbors out. Good 6 hour window of time to work. Some new recent samples all ready to go.
Pretty much it.

no internet (especially no listening to tunes on youtube for inspiration because then i end up a/b-ing and getting pissed because i don't sound like dbridge), prepared drumkits (working on that, sifting through literally several thousand drumhits without finding anything usable kills my vibe like nothing else), project template file with all the routing n shit done, basically everything that keeps me from getting stuck and annoyed to the point where i want to break my laptop in half
also enough to drink (no energydrink or alcohol), bag of skittles or liquorice, cigarettes. and no one around obviously.

Cigarettes, a bit of fruit (really getting into blueberrys at the moment!) I used to eat haribos or lollypops but started getting a belly hahaha! A tidy room (hate looking around and seeing a dirty room) and maybe a beer or two, if that fails a coffee!
I try not to spend longer than 3-4 hours infront of the computer atm... Keep getting headaches!

For some reason I always work best on a week night, very late at night when I should have gone to bed ages ago.
-Cup of tea,
-Dimly lit room,
-Full stomach,
-Not thinking about girls,
-Phone off,
-Tidy room,
-College coursework done,
-New loop/sample pack to explore,
-Everyone out the house.
These times don't come often.

Completely clean room... I feel that untidiness distracts me more than anything.. Down to the wrinkles on my bed sheet.
I don't turn my internet off, but I don't use it when I'm trying to produce..
I probably spend more time cleaning my room, than actually producing anything decent
Speaking of Producing..

Clean room
A few beers
Smokes (when taking a short break)
Some food (which doesn't make my hands sticky or greasy)
No disturbance
Night time (with enough light to see my hardware controls)
