DJM 900 A WORTHWILE UPGRADE??

Hi Forum Heads,

Id like to get all your opinions amatuer semi pro or pro on the new DJM 900, everybody knows that the 800 is pretty much a club standard nowadays with competing mixers like the allen and heaths and Rane mixers is it really worth us upgrading to the new 'NEXUS'?

From what i can see personally you have the new X-pad feature more effects, but it does look pretty much same as, would you as a buyer if you had the money would you shell out or would you dismiss that sh*t right out the window?!

Baring in mind the best price iv found is 1,599.99 (inc a 4 year warrenty)

Wow. if you already have a DJM800 just keep that money and buy good records mate... A good mixer is a good mixer, I don't like them with ton loads of knobs I wouldn't know what to do with

Biggest part of the upgrade is the internal soundcard. If you use Traktor/Ableton, this is a great upgrade.

If you really don't have use for the soundcard then the only real upgrade is the effects. And that is still a pretty big upgrade. Quantization, etc.

You can easily sell your 800 for a ton of money still as long as it's in good shape.

I'll def be upgrading once my tax money comes in and I sell my 800.
