A lot of what these guys do is pretty simplistic imo. What really gets people going is the musical qualities of it. I'm assuming you know about LFOs, from there, really it's just experimentation with different effects in the mixer. The first track applies a low delay on the midrange bassline, giving it a fuller sound in the mix, filling empty frequencies. The second makes use of bitcrushing distortion, get your self a bitcrusher like Geektronic, or CMT, after doing the main wobble sounds, turn up the resonance, and add the bitcrusher (That's how I do it)
Also, I don't think these guys are using separate filters for the LFOs, I think they're doing it within the softsynth, and then triggering with bits of midi. That's also how I do it on tracks similar to this.

One producer tutorial or masterclass you may find helpful, is the one from Rusko. I learned a lot about use of effects, and the importance of drum programming, which is also a big part of tunes like the ones you've posted
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?

ye probably the built in delay in the synth which is affecting the sound differently than a normal delay unit would do. ive made a bassline quite similar to that one in the first tune but less heavy in reason. i would say to get that kind of sound just what zerba listed above^ and little reverb then what I have heard in that jakes tune is that there is some type of water drop sample that is somewhat similar to the bassline giving it more emphasis and filling up empty space at the drop. i think that is right correct me if I am wrong.

Hench is one of my favourite labels, Lost one of my favourite producers right now. Missed the Hench night a little while back in Manchester, gutted. Feeling the style though-

I think Zerbaman hits the nail on the head when he says that although the style is not overly complicated it's effective and that's what counts.
