Hello,

I'm Lux from Midlands, UK.. new to DTF but not new to dubstep, been at it since 06 and dnb before that as well as a random assortment of other music. I've been producing dubstep for about 6 months on and off and have to say this forum has helped me no end. Only problem i've got is i love music so much it is making me go deaf.. so if anyone has a spare pair of ears let me know.

Hi,

I'm Keev, from Cardiff, UK. I got into dubstep fairly late (I'd say '08 or so, just when the filthy bass/drop phenomenon was getting big) - since getting into it I've sort of started working backwards, getting into the "earlier" dubstep sound, garage and stuff thrown in there as well for good measure. Mostly been listening on digital up until a while ago when I hijacked an old pioneer turntable I found and started buying vinyls - hoping to get into production soon as well. Uh, yeah, so hello, and I'm glad to be here. :Q:

Forgot to do this so may as well do it now.

I'm Aodhan and I'm from County Down in N.Ireland. I have only been listening to Dubstep for about a year now. Hearing about new music is hard from were I'm from due to no real music events ever being held in my town and nobody from around here seems to be into music that much. I have been addicted since I first heard it and love finding out about new and old artists in the scene. I have been playing guitar for 3 years and I'm just starting to get into producing.

Terra Riddim here! Started out spinning Jungle and Neurofunk, but I've moved on to spinning Future Garage & Dubstep mostly along the lines of Hessle, Apple Pips, Hotflush2, and Hemlock type vibes with a bit of DMZ and deeper, darker kind of tunes. I haven't been producing seriously for very lock but I've been working a lot in Logic on combining traditional deeper dubstep style basslines and snares with patterns and rhythmic build ups and breakdowns styled in a techy and garage-esque Ramadanman/Untold/Genoc1de type sound. A lot of my atmosphere and acc. percussion has a bit of an IDM vibe to it as well, open & dark full of various reverbs and delays. I'll be updating my soundcloud today or tomorrow once I finish up a few of these tunes ;)
Hit me up, I'm always looking for people to share tunes and get feedback on tracks!

Hey guys!
First of all I wanna say that this forum offers a lot of helpful options for me as a newcomer dubstep artist. Maybe even I could help you with some thins cause I am a musician for all my life and I think I am even quite experienced :P but Dubstep is something very new for me because I have never made electric music at all.. Actually I am a progressive rock drummer but this grimey style music interests me a lot! So I hope you want to give some feedback and listen to my song because this will help me to develope me as a musician!

Yoyoyo DSF!

My name is Jack, but I call myself Fuse/ Fused Productions when I'm making my music :)
Haven't been making music for so long though, so I got over here to learn.
What can I say.. I'm 15 years old and I try to make music as often as I can, but I'm most often occupied with other stuff.
Like someone said earlier I started listening to the dirty, drop-depending kinda dubstep with Dayn, Datsik, Cookie Monsta and so on, but started moving backwards in the history of the genre. Now I can't get L-wiz and Benga and all those guys out of my head even if I still listen to those filthmonsters.
I generally tend to create brosteppy sounds, I dunno why it just falls that way when I get to writing.
That's it for me, see ya around!

hi :) i am shabil.

guess i'll give you my music resume. i've been using FL for the past 2-3 years now. started off just messing around and making hip hop beats and such, then slowly incorporated a techno feel to the things I did. i've been getting better and better at producing over the years, and started producing dubstep over a year ago. i like to think that i've progressed a lot since then, and am starting to get a grasp of my own sound. check my shit out and give me some criticism. thanks!

Sup guys? New to the forums (of course lol) breaking my post cherry. What can I say? I love bass & listen to anything that sounds good to my ears. Been listening to Dubstep since late '08. Pretty much like TrisLaw up there I began listening to House music before I introduced myself to Drum & Bass. From Drum & Bass, dubstep has took over everything I heard. :h:
I like my bass down LOW.

Hello, new to the boards and new to Dubstep.
I'd make a longer introduction but, unfortunately my head just exploded and I need to figure out how to get brain out of carpet... o.0

Oh, well I kindof introduced myself on the other topic but lets create a more precise image of who I am :O

Well I'm a girl who likes listening to dubstep and most of the electro music (like Skillrex, Daft Punk and Justice). My secret dream is to become a producer, but I dont have a LFO so i guess thats never gonna happen. Ohwell, I hope theres nice people here that acutally replies. Way to many forums where that never happens -_-
