"The unfortunately named Slime label" ( © FACT Magazine) is back once again and ready to sizzle your synapses! This time we head to France to employ the supernatural talents of Parisian producer Hybu. Having already established a name for himself with a flagrant disregard for genres, Hybu comes to Slime with a handful of tracks that will make your eardrums dissolve with unbridled joy.
'The Chess Player' takes dubstep by it's engorged testicles and teases out a technicolour spasm of elasticated bass, P-Funk keys and inebriated percussion. For best results, drop it in a set and watch with demented glee as ravers everywhere try and dance to the beat like malfunctioning kitchen appliances. Go my human waffle irons go!
'Crystal Head' slides gently into your cerebral cortex with a glittering nebula of warm sound before embarking on an epic re-calibration of your frontal lobe by the use of multiple stuttering synths and bouncing basslines. The musical equivilant of making love to a rainbow-coloured unicorn on a mountain of lemon sherbert.
'Colibri' switches the theory to a programme of deep submersion mental therapy utilising sonar percussion and a soft bass tickle that will have your spinal column undulating with pure esctasy. This is the sound your mother was creating with her ovaries whilst you were swimming blissfully around her spacious womb.
'Guess Who's Coming' tells the cautionary tale of that dinner party where you forgot to invite yourself. Watch with horror through the window of your own home as your guests incorrectly use soup spoons to eat the spinach ravioli that you spent four painstaking hours making. Cretins!
