Change of plans now, we might be driving (5 of us in a landrover).
Has anyone on here driven to outlook before? If so, how much did it roughly cost and was it worth it?

For Example.

anyone else doing this?
has anyone done this before?
its my first time so any advice would be good.
whats the deal with people getting searched at the border etc? is it sniffer dogs and bag searches?
cheers
Thinking about driving or taking the train from Holland but can't decide between the two, anyone know what the go is with searches at the borders?
I went over the boarder by coach and they didn't do body searches. I think they searched our coach though. I remember having to get off the coach at the border.
thanks

Anyone got any ideas on if you can catch a train from Amsterdam to Pula? If so, how much for an adult? I keep trying on raileurope.co.uk but am having no luck with it.

Trains in Croatia are not very good. If you want to travel by train from Amsterdam I suggest that you get to somewhere like Trieste then get on one of the Airport Transfer Buses at Trieste Airport
http://www.outlookfestival.com/info/tra ... transfers/ to get to the Festival.

Its probably cheapest to fly to one of the airports that Airport Transfer Buses run from and then get on one of them.
There might by a tent rental scheme at this years Outlook Festival which means that you don't need to bring your own tent.

Just been searching for flights to Venice and couldnt seem to find any returns for under £200. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent flight comparison website or somewhere that you've personally had luck with?
Hoping to find something a little cheaper really, im pretty flexible as to where to fly from in the UK and also wouldnt mind being in croatia a few days early to make the most of the trip away.
Thanks!

ryanair will get you there, you can get a flight for around 60€ at least from germany. it's not comfortable and you'll have to be sorta flexible with your flight dates but damn there's nothing cheaper out there and they fly into Pula airport (PUY)

Not to Pula but Luton-Zagreb which i think Pula is about 2-3 hours from Zagreb. Did it 2 years ago and it cost me around 160 in fuel (1.8 Mondeo) Took around 21 hours. Bit of a mission tbh, but if you had a few days you could stop in Holland etc... Too much of a hassle for me to drive after that, prefer the easy life....

U mad? How much does that set you back?
Nah not mad at all, about £50.00 each (four people) it's worth it, for peace of mind and convenience. Plus on the transfers coach we got stuck at the Croatian border for two hours while everyone was frisked and searched for goodies. In a cab, you get searched, well it's only four people and will take about ten minutes. Also with the getting searched rubbish, people were arriving late to Pula and being late at night it was annoying for anyone needing to pick up apartment keys etc... £50.00 well spent. I could never ever Sunshine Bus it, fair enough you can have jokes and that but 36hrs!!! Fuuuuuuuuck that!!!
I was on that bus that got stopped on the border for 3 hours!! My mate was the blonde girl that had king blues in her bag that sparked their suspicions i think!!
