Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
From what I know, which is very little, it's the same, can copy and paste individual automation points, even between automation clips.
Oh wait, the best thing is that you can just hot key to get automation off the grid rather than turning snapping off. Which fuck them, has been annoying.
No but pretty much the same, if you didn't like it before, you won't like it any better now.

Seems odd to me that they dont have the sampler as an option for plug-ins to use in the Patcher itself.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
That is weird isn't it? Directwave it instead?

How do i get it?Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Go to options > general > Enable legacy pattern blocks

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Might want to start trying to get into using the clips. Apparently IL is planning to do away with pattern blocks completely in later versions.Benjab wrote:Okay so i downloaded the new FL but i need the "block area" (see pic)How do i get it?
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Still intersted to heard if anyone knows about pdc in patcher? As that would kinda of ruin one of their most important updates...
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Why don't the people asking about pdc in patcher post on the IL forums? Surely it'll be answered in minutes ! It has to be said though since they haven't stated it as PDC it probably doesn't, though its 'mainly' for using IL synths and fx's in so there wouldn't be any PDC.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Some fl fx introduce latency. Most dastardly the peq2.
I haven't asked, personally, because I haven't installed the 10 beta, and don't think I will. Waiting for the actual release, and I want to make sure that I won't be infected with adware when I install.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
well they better not break tracks that use the blocksJBE wrote:Might want to start trying to get into using the clips. Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Better render them out or cross them over, AND start with the clips view. You can make the clips view look pertty much exactly like the blocks view if you so desire.
Just shrink it down, and create unique pattern rows. Looks the same as blocks, all the same functionality.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
i know that, in face, better functionality...but i got in the habit of using blocks because from seeing other people use blocks on youtube, i thought thats how its supposed to worknowaysj wrote:Better render them out or cross them over, AND start with the clips view. Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
I don't know if you didn't get me or I didn't say that right, or if I'm not getting you now, but you can make patterns look exactly like blocks, so in my opinion, it doesn't really hurt that blocks are going away. I was certainly a blocks guy for many years, but with automation, and cut up audio, I've got to be in clip mode. But still, my point stands, you can make patterns look exactly like blocks, so its not really a death stroke for the block heads that remain.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
right click a knob, choose create automation clip... can't be easier than that.mr_wobble wrote:is it hard for Automation In FL 10 ?
i had trouble getting automation when i used fl now am on logic
About the blocks, tick "enable legacy pattern blocks" in options. But these are ancient, stupid and inefficient, time to move on, people.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
I'll defend block heads to my death. Blocks represent a certain way of working. The foundations of dance music in blocks. Very helpful for structure and variation. I made the switch to clips pretty much instantly. Sometimes like to block it up just for fun. Gotta respect the way people work there, though, Bri.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
i realize that. i used to use the clips instead of blocks...what im saying is that its going to be a pain to edit all of my flp's to change the blocks to clips.nowaysj wrote:I don't know if you didn't get me or I didn't say that right, or if I'm not getting you now, but you can make patterns look exactly like blocks, so in my opinion, it doesn't really hurt that blocks are going away. Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
yeah, no doubt. Time and tide, bro.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
That was already iterated. The last few posts were, or at least I think, in response to FL planning to do away with blocks entirely in later releases. Pretty soon you won't even have the option.Brisance wrote:right click a knob, choose create automation clip... can't be easier than that.mr_wobble wrote:is it hard for Automation In FL 10 ?
