cubase or fl loops

wots the easyr 1 2 have i got fl loops but i been hearing that cubase is better from a lot of people plz say wot u think about them

is there any point in me getin cubase ??????????

doesn't matter what you use. important is that you should handle your program at the fullest.
some ppl make sick tunes on reason some on fl some on cubase and other on logic depends on you what you like the most.

wot he said, you can get just as good tunes on either. i used to use cubase for the whole project now i use fl7 and just do the mixing down in cubase.i prefere to work this way because i find fruity alot quicker to get ideas down

I used to use FL (for about 6 years, since ver 3.5) but I eventually found it stiflng and slow. Cubase is it for me. I tried Ableton and it is decent: upfront and has a very fast workflow (up there with FL), while having the powerful multitrack interface similar to cubase, but it lacks the routing "accessibility" in cubase which is what I find to be a bit of a letdown.

So truly it's all the individual. I know people who swear by FL Studio. I know people who will never swap ableton for cubase (who are signed now), and then all of the Cubase users laugh at everyone who suggests anything else. Logic is probably the most powerful, but also the most difficult to learn, but it's mac only now.

If I was going to sort them in order of learning curve I would say:

FL Studio, Ableton's Live, Cubase, Logic

If I was going to sort them in terms of "power*" I would say

Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Live

*Most environments you can do most things in tho. That is just from the perspective of accessibility. For me Cubase was a natural evolution out of FL Studio. But many HUGE producers use FL, both in dnb and in dubstep. It's truly an individual preference and no one environment is necessarily better than another - the only thing that changes is how people work in them.

i'm suprised by the not so plentiful bashing of FL.

I use FL, i love it but it suits my style and maybe not so much yours. I'd say say try them both.

If you foresee yourself playing live in the future... just say fuck it and go with Ableton.

if you dont have much expeirence with computers or audio programs then you will find FL easiest. You will be making beats in under 2 minutes!

Infact it would great to do a test with someone's luddite Mum?
Have a computer set up with all these programs loaded up.
See which programme emits sound first?

suprising no one's mentioned Reason yet, cos that's pretty close to FL for ease of use.

Reason is all good for making the sounds that you're thinking of but I think its a pain in the ass when it comes to sequencing the tune.
I used to use Reason then switched to FL cos the sequencer is so user friendly.

FL is pretty foolproof if you ask me, its like turbo-eJay or something, however Reason's stock plugins are dope!

the only issue i had with reason is routing to make fxs i take for granted as simple vst plugins

just been checking this out lately. this tracker is dope, streamlined, and hyper-effective!

imma have to buy it when i get me some money. Oh, and renoise kicks even logic's ass when it comes to digital aliasing. renoise is soo damn clean!

cuebase has some amazing soft synths and fx plug ins that FL cant touch...also all the graphix and crap in FL and easy to use interfaces come with a price...your cpu gets taxed and when you go to record multiple plugins together your computer freaks out. I don't get this so much with Cubase... if you end up getting an external sound card it simplifies the whole conectivity issue.

Cuebase is a bad ass program...especially the latest version of sx...there is a reason that they charge top dollar for programs like this and Logic...and its not just because of the hype...remember anything is user friendly once you learn how to use it.

My one hangup with FL is still the sound quality of the mixer which is why I still use Cubase for the final mixdown. The difference in quality is quite noticable. Cubase just sounds solid. I thought FL had sorted it out with version 7 but no, it's still got that thin sound.

Ideally I'd be re-wiring FL into cubase but until I upgrade my computer that's not an option.

I'll post a comparison of the same track mixed down in cubase vs FL soon for all the non believers!

i think the most powerfull softwear for production has to be live 6 with reason as rewire slave appication (reason owns 4 gettin unique sounds and live owns 4 sequencing them
