Omg. I just saw Bassnectar on Saturday night. He was sick!!! He definately knows how to bring the energy. His mixing was pretty good as well. He dropped some new stuff that he hasn't released yet. Some really crazy stuff he has on the way! All I know is, if you haven't seen him perform in person yet, DO IT! There's a reason why his name is Bassnectar....

bassnectar use to be good, his breakbeat shit is lightyears ahead of what hes making now... he forgot that atmosphere makes a song and instead rams a loud square wave synth on the drop and calls it a day. he has some legendary tunes on the mesmerizing the ultra album, i hate his direction now

^i have, sadly, not listened to his breaks or even much of his more recent stuff. but yeah the post 2007 stuff ranges from average to well-produced-but-uninspired to my ears. different strokes i suppose.
