Though his name is still impossible to remember or write without copying / pasting, French artist 2methylBulbe1ol is slowly but surely making a splash in some appropriate circles. After a split 12" with Niveau Zero and before a solo EP, both on Ruff, he delivers here two excellent new tracks for the other heavy-dubstep French label Komod.O Dragon (remember their Niveau Zero / Matta split)? Working on both sides with a female singer who provides some welcome humane contrast to his extremely heavy, futuristic beats and ambiences, 2methyl(...) offfers here a record which fits perfectly between Hecq, Matta & other heavyweights on your shelves. Very recommended.
