Boxcutter is the pseudonym for Barry Lynn, an electronic musician from Northern Ireland whose work, due to its bass-led and rhythmically 2-step nature, is often categorised as dubstep, although in style and idiosyncrasies has more in common with artists such as Squarepusher and µ-Ziq. To date he has mostly released records on Planet Mu, Hotflush and his own Kinnego imprint.
For this show he will play a live set celebrating the launch of his new LP, 'The Dissolve' on Planet Mu Records.

In the twelve short months since UK dark dubstep duo Matta released their debut EP ‘The Lost’ on Ad Noiseam, they’ve had something of a massive year, sharing a split 12” release with 16 Bit on Heavy Artillery, touring throughout Europe and the UK, and remixing the likes of Bong-Ra, Black Lung and Noisia. Their new debut album on Ad Noiseam ‘Prototype’ acts as something of a summation of the duo’s output to date. Matta specialise in the sorts of punishing, overdriven industrial dubstep favoured by the likes of Niveau Zero and Somatic Responses.
