so my friend just showed me this article (which kinda sucks) but it seems interesting. Far as I can tell it's dubstep that is actually dubstep. Chill, dark, some future garage and IDM influence. Basically the antithesis of filth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-dubstep

Seems like people are just saying "let dubstep be filth and whatnot, we're going to do our own thing". I think this is a pretty decent idea, with some cool choons. But mostly not for dance floors.

Sub-bass will be around forever. Whether it's from the trunk of a car cruising A1A in 1989, or a reverberating crack in the ice on a lake in spring. Shit's not stopping for humans. Genre's are human, sound is eternally universal.
