Iv run out of patience with the feedback thread.

Post by Dystinkt » Wed Apr 13, 2011 8:08 pm

Iv posted 2 or 3 wips in there, after giving reasonable feedback to the required 3 people, but i got immensely shitty replies from everyone else or none at all. dicks.

I've *always* found it more useful to develop a network of people to exchange critiques with whether it's music, writing whatever the medium than relying on an internet forum.

I think it's possible to get a good critique here, just less likely than with a small peer group.

I've never once gotten a reply from the feedback forum, but I always get good stuff in the thread. :corntard:

i been sayin' it and sayin' it.

just use Dubs for what it's meant for, and to the general ProFo populace: GO TO DUBS and BUMP the SHIT out of one another's tunes.
People who frequent the profo just happen to usually make better tunes (hmmm) and ought to help one another's threads stay relevant instead of being burried by MY FIRST DUBSTEP __ FILTHY S#**!!!! threads

WIP or not, tbh it ought to be finished, but after the forum listens and discusses, the tune could be reworked and reposted (continuing to bump their worthwhile thread with a refix)

i've seen more of it lately than i used to, but DUBS ought to be the profo'er's feedback haven. Until someday, some of us graduate to "Music (tunes and releases)"

And OP, make better tunes and you'll get better feedback. That's the trend that I see both in the feedback thread and the dubs forum.

For reals though, don't make another thread like this. Nobody cares.

Currently on a cr-48 google laptop, but i'll check your stuff when i get some headphones.

i think it'd be cool to make a soundcloud group for posting WIP's to be commented on or whatever with a group of people who actually take the time to listen to other people's stuff

That's actually a cool idea. It would really help with the clutter in the thread.

I must be making shit tunes, :?

Anytime I post a thread in there I'm lucky to get a response, and when I do it's not really constructive. Even in the small network of people I send tunes to and soundcloud it's very rarely constructive, nice at least though.
A conglomeration of my old tearout tunes I like, and my new ones I don't

That's how I feel too. The Dubs forum is where my new-track-excitement goes to die. I've never gotten a single reply there and I've posted at least three songs. If it is a question of quality, then that makes it even worse. What's the point of having a thread and a forum for feedback if the people who actually need it aren't getting it? But yeah, it really makes me feel like I'm not even good enough to be told I'm not good.
