Skream via Facebook

Post by budsteq » Wed Apr 27, 2011 7:51 am

[quote=Skream]People really need to realise that im not gonna make tunes like i did in 2004/5/6 because it isn't 2004/5/6...Its 2011....Im not gonna make another tune like 'Rutten' because i made 'Rutten'......Same goes for all the other tracks that people say 'make a tune like.....again'.

He shouldnt even need to tell people this. I rate his old tunes a lot higher (I do like his newer bits aswell, just not as addictive), but if he did still produce tunes like back in the day I proberly would of got bored of him by now

whatever. back in the days he was pushing the sound, his production was fresh. his current productions are just average. nothing new, nothing exciting nothing I am going to spent my money for..

I think his production skills have got better he just makes average tunes now. Thing is back then everything was pretty raw sounding nothing really sounded as clean as what is being produced today.

He said this
Silkie Rose

i dont understand people problem with skrillex hes actually a good producer its not my thing but i could go around to every scene and say that about lots of people. at least he has talent which alot of people lack.
And the man totally has a point. There are loads of comments, some agreeing, some disagreeing, but in reply to them Silkie is just keeping it real, being honest and being correct IMO. Bigups Silkie.

I'm just wondering again, why the hell is it always about a tune like in 2004-6, the DMZ thingie was about the same "I won't play tunes from back then something something blabla"... I don't know about you guys but I'd be more then happy if he started playing his tunes from after 200-anything under 6, but he didn't play those :( as long as he keeps innovating and making nice bea(s)ts I don't care what year it's from or is it just me?
