Specific dubstep songs

Post by xXdamianXx » Wed Apr 27, 2011 9:21 am

Hey guys, ive been recently listening to some dubstep and i must say there are songs that i absolutely love and songs i just cant stand listening.
What im after is certain, hmmm how would you describe it, beat, type, sub-genre of dubstep.
Songs ive been enjoying are mainly from MT EDEN - sierra leone, silence etc.
Also songs like raindrops - basement jaxx - doorly remix,
sterry eyed - jakwob remix
eyes on fire - blue foundation - zeds dead remix.

what im after is more of that type of songs, nice slow-ish beat, really melodic, easy on ear...

songs i dislike are mainly the ones considered "heavy dubstep" like DR PHILTH.

would anyone be able to give me some list or some songs i could look for, or perhaps artists \ albums with the kind of dubstep im after ?
Would be heaps appreciated, thanks guys !
Feel free inbox me, thanks :)

Its nto so much we dont like them, they came on here a while back and admitted to outright stealing tunes from long standing players in the scene and publishing them as their own, and they also said themselves sierra leonne 'sounds shit'... so yeah, cant say anything that they havent said themselves...

fair enough, MT eden was probably first "dubstep" ive listened to, hence i really enjoyed it. i do realise he mixed existing songs but still sounded good to me. also new to forums here so i wouldnt know that they were here. And, sierra leonne sounds pretty damn good imo.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

well from what i was also browsing youtube, i picked up words like chillstep - which is something that i enjoy listening and "flithy dubstep" which is, id assume, really hardcore dub which unfortunately didnt steal my ear.

Thanks to all who helped out :)

Hi,

May I ask what sort of speakers/headphones you're listening to this music on/through? Just wondered, because in order to get the full scope of the sound you really need either to have some decent headphones (good cans or in-ear type) or a sub-woofer as part of your speaker set you. Trust me, you will find the music sounds very different!
