yeah. for me $2000 of software would be much more powerful than an MPC and a hardware synth.

i see 99% of kids fail at dubstep. Approaching dubstep by resampling bass lines has improved my production. id say almost all dubstep tutorals is some kid automating his lfo into logic or something drawing the movement. FAIL.

I know plenty of producers who do -not- resample their basslines, and their productions sound just as good, if not better, than those that do. Not saying it's not a cool tool, but saying you need it to create awesome basslines is inaccurate, and misleading.

PS - Maschine > MPC.

I know a bunch of guys that don't resample anything, myself included.
It's another means to the same end.

traditionally dub is mixed live. dubstep fails because today it lacks this element.

im not talking about makeing a hot track. im talking about dubstep in live preformace. now u can record a band in a studio that still a live performance.

drawing midi data u dont feel the muisc... y dont u go make dubstep on ur iphone.

hiphop is dead because of this... back in the 90s the mpc was the center of production becasue people were really mixing the music.

alot of u i know are trying to be unoriginal and sound like all the big names. try something new.

btw in most old DNB the reese is resampled.

really its the old school way of doing things. guess im to old school for you kids.

i bet 90% of this forum uses cracked vsts and cracked software and want to sound like skrillx or rusko.. garbage... but if u want to see dubstep continue it needs to evolve. im not saying do this im just saying i dont see many cats do this because, well they cant.... or didnt know it was possible .. im just putting it out there and expressing my view on dubstep from a purest perspective.

this might be a hobby to you, but i do this for a living. so hush up and take some notes. not 1 of u said thank you for the post just. haters.... i spent some time looking around in the forums i didn't see much info on resampleing ur basslines so i thought i would contribute... next time ill keep my secrets to my self.

o ya and jesus was a mushroom.1

Be a purist by yourself and quit preaching, nobody cares, I play in bands, I get my fix, no need to bring the two together, unless you're legitimately talented or need a gimmick.

I don't even have massive, or automate LFO. I've got my cloak and dagger shit, see?

You have yet to post tunes, quit calling out productive and credible members of the forum, even in the general. Nobody here wants to be skrillex or rusko, you've jumped into a boat thinking it's already full o' holes, and now you're shooting them into the bottom yourself.
