I'm going to be traveling for a bit during this time, but I will try to get one in for the old schoolers.

Betting there's a lean again because it's cool to like deep tunes. I see accusations of site bias in our forum's near future.

Is it cool to like the deep stuff now? I hadn't noticed. I rarely notice anything though when it comes to the 'scene' or electronic music in general really...Kes-Es wrote:Betting there's a lean again because it's cool to like deep tunes. I see accusations of site bias in our forum's near future.

If it is cool to like the deep, where are all the cool people? All I see is filth children.

Not cool per say, bad word choice, just trendy round here, even former bro heads wind up making garage and deep tunes if they get in far enough, just how it spins on the DSF.nowaysj wrote:If it is cool to like the deep, where are all the cool people? All I see is filth children.

Prolly more to do with the superficial nature of the bro. You can only ride the bro for so long.

+1. my first dubstep show was excision before he got famous, he was playing this shitty little club in Medicine Hat, there were 25 or so of us there... It blew my mind. Now the market is so saturated with kids who want to be filthy that it takes the charm out of it. I mean look at beatport, the top10 is almost always brostep, and 95 percent of the time it sounds the same. And probably about half the artists on there have one release only.nowaysj wrote:Prolly more to do with the superficial nature of the bro. You can only ride the bro for so long.
I wish I could go back to the days where it was just datsik/excision/downlink making the bro, and just us nerdy kids who were at the show... Douchebags and frat bros make me nervous...

you can only make so many variations before the general public catch on when you use the same bass patches and drum kits repeatedlyKes-Es wrote:Not cool per say, bad word choice, just trendy round here, even former bro heads wind up making garage and deep tunes if they get in far enough, just how it spins on the DSF.nowaysj wrote:If it is cool to like the deep, where are all the cool people? I have to disagree, as with anything, an infinite number of variations can be made. Not to mention theres so many more drum kits and patches to be made/used.deadly habit wrote:you can only make so many variations before the general public catch on when you use the same bass patches and drum kits repeatedlyKes-Es wrote:Not cool per say, bad word choice, just trendy round here, even former bro heads wind up making garage and deep tunes if they get in far enough, just how it spins on the DSF.nowaysj wrote:If it is cool to like the deep, where are all the cool people?
